This training module explores the pivotal role of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in addressing social determinants of health and reducing cancer disparities within the community. Through insights from a panel discussion featuring Dr. Luz Garcini, Kyle DeLeon, and Dolores Garcia, moderated by Dr. Amelie Ramirez, participants will learn about the challenges cancer patients face in accessing care and how CHWs can connect individuals to critical resources. The session also emphasizes the importance of inclusive research, effective communication, and understanding health behaviors to improve outcomes for underserved populations.
