The study, "Addressing the Health Needs of High-Risk Filipino Americans in the Greater Philadelphia Region," highlights the chronic health challenges faced by Filipino Americans, a significant and bicultural immigrant group in the U.S. Through a health needs assessment conducted with 200 Filipino Americans, the research identified common chronic conditions like hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes. The study emphasized the need for targeted health interventions, particularly focusing on lifestyle modifications like diet, physical activity, and health education to combat these challenges.
