This course, developed in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association, the CDC, and Emory University, offers a deep dive into the distinctions and connections between Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Participants will explore the evolution of our understanding of these conditions, their risk factors, and the impact of lifestyle choices on disease progression. The course also addresses the current and projected scope of these diseases globally and the significant burden they place on caregivers and the workforce.
Throughout this program, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of dementia as an umbrella term that encompasses various brain conditions, emphasizing its progressive nature and the broader implications for daily life and social skills.
