Description
This training explores the role of doulas in supporting birthing families, the impact of doula care on perinatal outcomes, and how doulas improve birth equity. The session will also cover the Medi-Cal Doula Benefit, which provides access to doula support for all Medi-Cal members in California. Participants will gain insight into how doulas offer culturally affirming, non-clinical assistance during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

This training is designed for healthcare providers, community health workers, home visiting professionals, doulas, and maternal health advocates who want to understand how doulas contribute to better birth outcomes and how to connect clients to available services.
