Description
This training focuses on recognizing and addressing signs of stress, anxiety, and depression in teens, including physical symptoms like headaches and sleep disturbances, as well as emotional changes such as irritability and withdrawal. It explores strategies to support teens in thriving despite these challenges, combining positive psychology principles with evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness. The training introduces the PERMA framework (Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Achievement) to enhance life satisfaction, resilience, and overall well-being in teens.

Learning Outcomes
After completing this training, you will be to:
- Identify Physical Signs of Stress: By the end of the training, participants will be able to identify at least three physical symptoms of stress and anxiety in teens, such as headaches, stomachaches, and difficulty sleeping.
- Recognize Emotional Symptoms: Participants will be able to recognize and describe at least three emotional symptoms associated with stress and anxiety in teens, including irritability, anxiety, and depression.
- Understand Behavioral Changes: By the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to discuss how stress can lead to changes in behavior, such as withdrawal from friends and family or increased aggression, providing examples of each.
- Assess Stress Impact on Teens: Participants will be able to assess individual cases of teens experiencing stress, identifying both physical and emotional symptoms, and proposing appropriate supportive strategies based on the training content.
- Understanding the PERMA Framework: Gain a clear understanding of the PERMA framework (Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Achievement) and its application in enhancing well-being for individuals experiencing anxiety or depression.
- Cultivating Positive Emotion: Learn strategies to increase Positive Emotion, including savoring and reframing thoughts, to counterbalance the impact of negative emotions.
