This training explores the hidden epidemic of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and strangulation among domestic violence survivors. It examines how head trauma and oxygen deprivation impact mental health and cognitive function, why these injuries often go unrecognized, and how professionals can better identify, support, and advocate for survivors experiencing brain injuries.
Target Audience
Domestic violence advocates, healthcare providers, mental health professionals, law enforcement officers, social service workers, and community members supporting survivors of domestic violence.
