This training provides an overview of behavioral health, including mental health disorders, substance overuse, and the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness. It explores different types of mental illnesses, approaches to treatment, and the role of medical professionals in providing care. Additionally, it addresses the barriers to healthcare access and strategies for effective engagement with vulnerable populations.
Target Audience
Community Health Workers (CHWs), social workers, counselors, medical and behavioral health providers, public health professionals, individuals working with people experiencing homelessness.
