Description
This training focuses on the systemic barriers to accessing dental care in the U.S., particularly for Medicaid beneficiaries. It addresses the disparities in oral health outcomes between rural and urban areas, the role of parental dental access on children’s oral health, and the connection between poor oral health and systemic diseases. Emphasis is placed on Medicaid policy, budgetary constraints, and the role of managed care organizations.
