This training session explores the challenges that aging veterans face in terms of mental health, substance use, and social connectedness. It provides insights into PTSD, depression, and other psychological challenges that may arise later in life, as well as barriers to care and ways to improve support systems. The session also emphasizes the role of caregivers and strategies to combat isolation, substance use, and suicide risk among older veterans.
