Description
This training focuses on opioid misuse and addiction, providing strategies for community health workers (CHWs) to support affected individuals. It highlights the biological, social, and environmental factors contributing to opioid addiction and emphasizes the importance of reducing stigma, recognizing early signs of misuse, and connecting clients to appropriate treatment options. The session also covers harm reduction strategies, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and naloxone administration for overdose reversal.
