This course focuses on empowering youth to address gender-based violence (GBV) and its profound impact on mental health and well-being. Participants will explore the various forms of GBV, including physical, sexual, psychological, and economic violence, and their devastating effects on individuals and communities. The training emphasizes the role of adolescent boys and young men in prevention efforts and highlights strategies for raising awareness and fostering resilience. Participants will gain insights into using tools and resources to take action against GBV and create supportive environments for mental health.

Youth organizers, social justice advocates, educators, domestic violence professionals, nonprofit leaders, and individuals supporting youth leadership in activism.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this training, you will be able to:
- Understand the Purpose of the OGBV Toolkit: By the end of the training, participants will be able to explain the purpose of the toolkit and identify at least three ways it can be used to raise awareness and empower young people to take action against OGBV (Online Gender-Based Violence).
- Recognize the Importance of Addressing OGBV: Participants will be able to articulate why addressing OGBV is crucial, discussing its classification as a serious human rights issue that affects millions of young people globally.
- Discuss the Impact of OGBV on Mental Health: By the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to discuss how OGBV can have a devastating impact on young people's mental health and overall well-being, providing specific examples.
- Develop a Personal Action Plan: Participants will be able to create a personal action plan outlining specific steps they can take to address and combat OGBV in their communities, reflecting on the call to action presented in the webinar.
- Understand the Importance of Addressing GBV: By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to articulate the significance of addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and explain the critical role of adolescent boys and young men in its prevention.
- Identify Types of GBV: Participants will be able to identify and describe at least four different types of GBV, including physical violence, sexual violence, psychological violence, and economic violence.
- Discuss the Impact of GBV on Young Men: By the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to discuss how GBV affects adolescent boys and young men, including its physical and emotional consequences, difficulties in forming relationships, and increased risk of substance abuse.
